I need a job like that

As I was leaving the office tonight, I passed by the unknown guy that is always watching TV. And as I wondered yet again, "Who is that guy and what does he do here?," I noticed he was watching what appeared to be "Showgirls." Now that's not something that comes on basic cable. Who IS that guy? And do the powers that be know about him? And how am I able to identify "Showgirls" while casually walking by?
Correction: Brad says that "Showgirls" is shown on basic cable. I'm a bit concerned about how he knows this.
