While I wish I were there ...

I'm really glad that Brad and I aren't trying to get to the homeland for Christmas this week. Sounds like there is a massive snowstorm brewing. I'd be so disappointed if I couldn't make it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Toonces and the BeeGees do make it ... all of their presents are at the fam's house. Plus, everyone involved would be bummed if they were stuck in SoDak.

Food pics!
I've actually kept the plan going for an entire week now.

Italian bread. Dough made in the bread machine, formed by me and then baked in the oven. It was so simple and really tasty.

Green chile enchiladas. Browned hamburger with spices, then dumped it in the slow cooker with a can of green chile sauce and left it on low overnight. Plating = corn tortilla, meat sauce, grated colby jack, repeat. It had good flavor but was really salty, in my opinion. (The only salt I added to it was garlic salt.) Brad thought it was great and has eaten almost all of it.

Everything doesn't have to be fancy: Three-cheese burger and frozen french fries. (And one of my Hanukkah glasses from Bradie.)
