Yankees single-game tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. EDT today. That meant that Brad and I set our alarms for 3:45. At 4:09 a.m. the transaction was complete and Brad was already sound asleep again.
The Mets have yet to put single-game tickets for June-September games on sale. We've already got tickets for a Phillies game.
We were not originally planning to go to a Yankees game while in New York this summer. But they are playing an afternoon game on the day that Toonces will be arriving, so we figured, "Let's just get the cheapest tickets and go to the game for a few hours before we pick her up." The cheapest tickets ended up being only $8.50. How could we pass that up? Plus, with the airline changing her itinerary over the weekend, we figure she may be hard pressed to make it plane to plane in 35 minutes at MSP, so we'll have time for the entire game. :-)
I'm pulling for ya, Toonces! But it might serve you well to memorize the following: "What about the 1:10 to Newark? Can you put me on that?"
