I couldn't have picked a better time to leave

Hurricane Daniel headed toward Hawaii and will likely hit here on Friday as a tropical storm. Or says the National Weather Service.

As for me, I'll be driving through Nebraska, New Jersey, Nevada or somewhere like that about the time the storm hits.

I said to Brad tonight, "At least we won't be here if our apartment gets flooded." He replied, "No, we'll come back to deal with an apartment that's been flooded for 3 weeks." Doh! I did not think of it that way. That won't be pleasant.
