Things for Brad's mom to look forward to

Weather.com says it may snow in New York later this week, so I imagine Brad's mom is more than thrilled to be leaving that all behind. We're certainly excited to have her visit ... and to have next week off of work to play tourist.

Brad and I took the camera with us to the beach this afternoon, so here's a preview of what she can expect:

Palm trees and blue skies

Turquoise water and uncrowded beaches

Whale sightings from shore. Brad and I saw a whale that was no farther away than these kayaks (can you see them?). Totally cool. We were in the water and it was straight out from us. If we went underwater we could hear the whale songs. Not kidding. As an added bonus, I giant turtle swam right past us. Sorta scared me for second, all I saw was a big dark thing coming at me. But he came up to the surface and looked right at us. So cool. Of course, I caught none of this with the camera, because I was in the water, but it really happened. Brad said, "This is the best beach day ever!"
