Ready for winter

Poor Toonces called today to say that freezing rain turning into snow is forecast for tomorrow evening. The brunt (is that the right word?) of the storm is likely to hit about 45 miles south of her. The BeeGees don't have any winter clothes yet. And I don't think her new fur-lined crocs are going to do the job, either.

Me: Well, duh, it is the end of October. In SoDak.

Toonces: I'm not ready. It's not supposed to snow yet.

I wonder when it is "supposed" to snow. I remember snow in October. I remember it in September. She should count herself lucky that it didn't happen sooner. Silly Toonces.
